Who's who in 2015?
The Mustangs start 2015 with a massively revamped team including rookies, new signings, and some familiar names returning for another shot at a Bowl game. Energy, youth and anticipation abound and surround this group. Could these be the players to get the Mustangs back in the play offs?
Starting in the backfield Jonathan Farrow joins from the Hull Sharks University team. HC Paul Weston has high hopes for Jonathan in 2015 and hopes his explosiveness will cause defenses problems all season long.
Sam Folds has converted from QB to DB in the off season and brings speed & athleticism to the secondary.
Adam Gregory, Curtis Osarenmwinda and Tom Price have all joined from Hull and give much needed depth to the receiving corps.
Josh Phillips has signed from the Sheffield Predators and adds more depth in the secondary. He is joined by Calvin Pritchard, and Adam Harvey on defense.
Keanu Ebanks, Will Cooper and Niall Blackburn have all joined an increasingly impressive group of lineman under the tutelage of Gavin Lyons.
Returning to the Mustangs is Pete Rogers, and he brings valuable backup to long time starting QB Graham Lightfoot.
Dan Horrocks has been the most impressive rookie and the rugby convert is expected to have an impact carrying the ball this year.
But what of the old guard?
Well, 'JD' - Jonathan Davis is back for another year, and 46 year old Tim Adams will be once again talking us through his every move as he lines up in the secondary.
Matt Bate has converted from Linebacker to Tight End and the Mustangs own Peter Pan - the ageless Paul Oates will I'm sure be delighting and amazing fans up and down the country with his incredible array of circus catches.
Add to this a young and exciting rookie Head Coach in Paul Weston and this could be the most eagerly anticipated group of players the green & gold supporters have had the pleasure of watching in many a year.
